What have I been up to?

Welcome to your monthly update from me, Anne Taylor!

So what have I been up to this month?

At the start of the month I went back to Anglesey for a retreat again as this had been cancelled from last year.

I was offered the master bedroom again... but it was a bit cold this time.

I have been aware of the nights 'drawing in' and also aware that my own body is now coming into alignment with the winter months.

As I’ve worked for Morecambe Football Club for 17 years, I had to keep going and push through the football season, starting at the end of June to the following May. It was hard to push through the winter months and resist what my body needed.

It’s taken a few years for my body to adjust to the seasons, especially the winter months.

It’s quite a nice feeling settling into the yearly seasons as they are supposed to be. I am now really feeling like it’s the time to slow down, breathe and reflect. To keep warm and just enjoy the time to recuperate.

I think I’ll be doing more of this, especially during the winter months. Taking time to listen to my body and give it what it needs, which is important especially in these times.

So I think December is going to be a time for slowing down even more and nurturing myself. Taking the time to be quiet and cosy and listening to my body’s needs.

Listening to your body and slowing down when you need to is all part of the healing process. So I invite you all to join me in slowing down this December, to recuperate and renew for the new year.
